Flesh and Blood: Generic Monstrosities in Contemporary Greek Film

As far as Greek cinema is concerned, the last few decades have seen both a rise in genre –including horror- films and emergence of so-called (Greek) Weird Wave, term that refers not to specific such but rather an aesthetic (mostly with regard stylistic approach frequently subject matter too). Boasting (relatively) big production value wide media exposure, lot from these types tend touch on concept monstrous: former mostly literal sense (zombies, vampires, etc.), latter more metaphorical one (ghastly behaviors actual humans). Using semiotic/aesthetic analysis, proposed paper explores how this shift towards depiction monstrous can be traced two examples horror movies (Evil Evil: In Time Heroes) plus most characteristic pieces Wave filmmaking (Dogtooth Miss Violence). Furthermore, outbursts monstrosity are generated aforementioned films. Lastly, it examines its representations finding their way into mainstream productions audiences, audiences become accustomed grotesque contemporary films, genre, “weird” or otherwise.

The computational complexity of the algorithms is shown to be proportional to the number of rates times the number of factors per step.
